Rachin Ravindra is a talented cricketer from New Zealand, known for his skills as an all-rounder. Born on November 18, 1999, in Wellington, New Zealand, Ravindra has quickly risen through the ranks of New Zealand cricket, showcasing his abilities with both bat and ball.
Ravindra’s most memorable name is a portmanteau of the main names of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Impacted by Sachin Tendulkar since childhood. Ravindra began playing cricket at five years old in Wellington and used to go to Bengaluru consistently to play club cricket.
Primarily a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spinner, Ravindra has attracted attention for his natural talent and versatility on the field. He made his debut for the Wellington cricket team in the 2017-2018 season, impressing selectors and fans alike with his performances in domestic cricket.
One of the standout moments of Ravindra’s early career came during the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he represented the New Zealand Under-19 team. He played a crucial role in the team’s campaign, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure and contribute with both bat and ball.
Ravindra’s consistent performances in domestic cricket earned him a call-up to the New Zealand national team. He made his international debut in a T20I match against Pakistan in December 2020, marking the beginning of what promises to be a promising international career.
In addition to his on-field exploits, Ravindra is also known for his work ethic and dedication to his craft. He is seen as a player with immense potential, capable of making significant contributions to New Zealand cricket in the years to come.
Ravindra was named in New Zealand’s crew for the 2023 World Cup. Despite the fact that Rachin was not formally in that frame of mind for a spot in the last crew for the 2023 World Cup, he was remembered for the 15-man crew as a trade for the harmed Michael Bracewell.
Debut- In the 2024 IPL, Rachin was bought by CSK for Rs 1.80 crore. Apart from CSK, Delhi Capitals and Punjab also bid to include Rachin in their team but they failed.
As of my last update, Rachin Ravindra continues to hone his skills and make strides in his cricketing career, representing Wellington and New Zealand with distinction and earning recognition as one of the country’s most promising young talents.
